One of the most popular courses is Writing with Results where we first spend two days together covering basic writing skills and process. After that we spend one day a week working on the essential sections of a research paper: Introduction, methods, results and discussion, and concluding with Titles and Abstracts. We work together through an actual writing process and hope that a paper is almost ready for submission by the end.

Here we cover the basics of clear and concise writing, and apply these skills directly to our own texts. The goal for each participant is to produce a short general-audience article about their own research ready to publish online.

In this course we spend time working through the essential writing skills, but we go an important step further. Abstracts from our research articles or presentations need to communicate the essentials of our research story. We use Abstracts to practice text analysis, research communication and, not least, peer-to-peer feedback.

In one day, we get time to cover all the basics, and to work through examples (of varying complexity) together in the group. We also have time to discuss different elements of writing.

In seminars shorter than one day, we scratch the surface of basic writing skills. Despite the shorter timeframe, I aim to convey the key messages in a clear and entertaining way. We briefly cover the basics of writing and work through a couple of editing examples together.

In this course we will go through the peer-review process published in Nature.com, and then apply it collectively to review an abstract in a journal with an open discussion forum. This course can be provided in varying lengths. For courses longer than one day, we use the peer-review process to review full length articles in an open and friendly peer-learning environment.

Our feedback courses cover topics like formal peer review, and feedback processes in both academic and business settings. Our approach begins by laying a solid foundation, covering essential aspects of feedback. From there, we guide participants through a systematic process, empowering them to craft personalized feedback techniques tailored to their daily needs.
